David has been working in town planning since 2003. He has worked for leading planning consultancies in England, Ireland, and Australia.
He has a strong track record of successfully negotiating with planning authorities and key stakeholders to deliver viable, timely consents, and understands what it takes to get proposals through the approval process without any unnecessary delay.
Throughout his career, David has developed good working relationships with key senior officers in local councils including Leeds, Harrogate, Doncaster, Wakefield, and Sheffield. His conciliatory but robust approach to negotiation helps to maintain a collaborative relationship with the council and other key stakeholders even on potentially contentious proposals.
David has extensive experience in the student housing and build to rent sectors, both for purpose-built developments and conversions and extensions of existing properties including listed buildings.
David has supported a cross-section of clients in the Leeds and Yorkshire area, including YPP, Harrogate Town Football Club and the University of Leeds. David’s experience extends into a wide range of sectors including: education, healthcare, and sports & leisure.
