The Breast Care units in Aneurin Bevan University Health Board (ABUHB) are some of the busiest in Wales and are spread over the Health Board area. Located on the site of the modern YYF hospital site, this circa.1300sqm unit will consolidate various existing units and deliver a sustainable, high quality multi-disciplinary service with access to integrated diagnostics, outpatient and surgical care for breast services.

With Welsh Government funding structure dictating the timeframes and deadlines, DPP liaised with the Project Managers (Gardiner & Theobald LLP) early on in the process to advise on strategy and programme, before being taken forward by the Contractors, BAM Construction, to submit the application.

DPP worked closely with the design team to ensure a high-quality and detailed submission was made. We engaged with the local community to ensure any initial concerns were alleviated prior to the submission of the application.
