In Education

DPP is attending the annual Education Estates conference and dinner over the next two days, celebrating another very successful year for DPP in the education sector.

Working with our clients, we have secured planning permission for ten schools and colleges across the UK so far in 2024, totalling approximately 36,000sqm of floorspace and over 6,525 pupil spaces.

One of the most significant education consents obtained this year by DPP is a whole new campus for Northumberland College in Ashington, which is one of the first Gen Z Pathfinder FE Colleges to be delivered by the DfE. The total cost of this project is £45m

Of the schools which we have obtained planning permission for this year, five are secondary, two are primary and two will provide education to children with Special Education Needs.

Speaking ahead of attending the conference, Education lead at DPP, Michelle Davies said:

We are looking forward to attending the annual conference to share our experiences of delivering education consents. DPP has a 100% success rate in delivering schools’ projects across the UK, this exceptional track record making us stand out. We have delivered consents in the face of significant objections and achieved programmes that appeared impossible to achieve. We understand the needs of schools, the issues they will face through the planning process and also the pressures those delivering the schools are under.
