We are delighted to share that Eleanor Robinson and Charlie Dixon from the Newcastle DPP office have both received promotions following our mid-year review.
Eleanor, who is now in her fourth year with the company, has been promoted from Planner to Senior Planner. She joined us for work experience in 2022 and was promoted to Planner in January 2024 after impressing with her excellent work ethic and dependability. Having continued to perform well in this role through her calm, punctual and logical approach to planning, Eleanor is now making the step up to the position of Senior Planner.
Eleanor has recently been working on a number of high-profile projects, including the purpose-built student accommodation scheme on Leazes Park Road in Newcastle. The project will deliver 260 bedrooms in a highly sustainable city centre location.
Meanwhile, Charlie has been promoted from Assistant Planner to Planner. Charlie has followed a similar path to Eleanor, having joined the consultancy for work experience in 2024. He then started a full-time position last year, in which he has consistently delivered high-quality work and demonstrated exceptional teamwork, enthusiasm and reliability.
Charlie has been working on the redevelopment of Thornhill Academy in Sunderland, as well as the Forrest Park development in Newton Aycliffe (County Durham), which will provide the area with an additional large employment site.
Gareth Hooper, CEO at DPP Planning, said: “I’d like to extend a big congratulations to Eleanor and Charlie on their recent promotions following our mid-year review. You have both proven yourselves to be well-organised, reliable and enthusiastic team players, qualities we consider very valuable here at DPP. It’s given us great pleasure to reward this with the progression you deserve. Based on what you’ve already achieved with us, I’m sure you’re both going to be very successful in your new roles.
“Eleanor and Charlie both initially joined us on work experience before shifting into permanent roles, so it’s been very rewarding to watch their growth through the consultancy. Their success with us demonstrates DPP’s commitment to providing opportunities for talented individuals to get into the sector, and enabling them to apply their skills, expand their knowledge and progress their careers.”
Congratulations again to both Eleanor and Charlie from everyone at DPP, we’re exceptionally proud of your success during your time with us so far and can’t wait to watch you thrive in your new roles.
