In Awards, Manchester

We are delighted to see three of our projects shortlisted for three prestigious North West awards.

First, our Two New Bailey Square project in Salford for English Cities Fund (ECF) has been shortlisted in the 2022 RIBA North West Awards. Designed by Allford Hall Monaghan Morris, the Grade A, BREEAM ‘Excellent’ development, has created 24,000 sqm of B1 office floor space and 830 sqm of commercial ground floor space. This project is part of the Salford Central Masterplan, DPP have assisted ECF with the delivery of for the past 16 years.

The second shortlisting is for our Atelier project in Salford, also for ECF, which has been shortlisted for Apartment Development of the Year at the Insider North West Residential Property Awards. Designed by Buttress, Atelier offers 167 one, two and three-bedroom apartments alongside 11 three-bedroom townhouses, with eight ground-floor commercial units. Residents’ wellbeing was a key consideration in the design and spaces have been provided that create opportunities for residents to interact. This includes a podium garden at first floor level and shared residents’ common room.

Finally, Valette Square in Salford for ECF also designed by Buttress is shortlisted for Housing Development of the Year at the Insider North West Residential Property Awards. The project provides 33 two-, three- and four-bedroom townhouses alongside a new landscaped public square and pedestrian green street which links the scheme with neighbouring development, the RIBA Award-winning, Timekeepers Square, which is another of DPP and Buttress’ projects.

Speaking about the shortlisting, DPP Manchester lead, Kayleigh Dixon said:

It is hugely rewarding to see the efforts of the whole design team and the client being acknowledged by the shortlisting. In isolation the projects are great examples of office and residential development, but the fact that all three sit within a masterplan that DPP has delivered over the past 16 years is testament to the vision ECF have shown to create new neighbourhoods and we are proud to have led this process.
