Starting his career in his hometown of Sheffield, Will joined DPP in March 2021 before being promoted to Principal Planner in February 2024. With over a decade in the private sector, Will’s knowledge covers a wide breadth of projects and sectors, from commercial and residential to energy and leisure. He works on projects across the country.
Notable projects in his career to date include numerous schemes in Sheffield, such as Fitzwilliam Street, Devonshire Quarter, Rialto House PBSA, York, Waverley Central, Rotherham, Chilmington Green Secondary School, Ashford, Electric vehicle charging hubs across the country, Bransbury Leisure Centre, Portsmouth.
He has worked with high-profile clients such as Lidl, Sky House, Portsmouth City Council, Bowmer + Kirkland, Caddick Land and Fastned.
On all of his projects, Will is able to provide detailed technical advice and apply this through the planning stages via supporting reports. He has extensive experience with Planning Statements, Retail Impact Assessments, Sequential Assessment, and local plan promotion. He is also accomplished in planning appeals of all types, including enforcement and written representations, having recently been successful in applying for the award of costs for a residential scheme in North Yorkshire.
Will continues to work on a wide range of projects and this year is working on further charging hubs for Fastned, a new sports village for Hull Kingston Rovers, a transformational scheme in central Doncaster, and projects across the University of Leeds estate.
