The annual DPP company staff event was held in early October at the beautiful Rosedew Farm in Llantwit Major, South Wales.

Each year, we gather our team together to celebrate successes, hear about the evolution of the business and to have some fun. The event is the culmination of an annual wellbeing and personal development program; DPP understanding the positive impact that healthy and engaged employees make to the success of the business.

The two days together provided an opportunity for staff from our five offices to meet in person in a beautiful setting on the Welsh coastline. A combination of company overviews, awards, raising funds for our chosen company charity, Action for Children, and spotlighting of particular successes was rounded off with a stunning meal, laughter and dancing.

Team-building exercises led Christine Lewis, presented a fun but competitive session followed by Flowing Yoga and Sound Bath session (where some were so relaxed, they went to sleep) and  a Bushcraft survival skills session with Darren Lewis making fire lighters and building fires to make cups of tea! A great opportunity for everyone to take some time out and focus on their own wellbeing.

Faith Folley, Director:

The event was a fantastic opportunity for our team to come together, connect, and have some fun! Our people are at the heart of DPP, without them, we would not succeed in what we do.

Matthew Appleby, Assistant Planner:

The company event this year was great to be a part of, we took part in multiple activities ranging from the coast walk to the teambuilding exercise and yoga class. Rosedew Farm was an excellent place for it, a very well presented venue in a great location.

Tom Quille, Planner:

Our trip to Rosedew Farm provided a great opportunity to get involved in a wide variety of activities, with a particular highlight of mine learning various new outdoor skills in the bushcraft session. It was also great to catch up with some familiar faces from other offices and to meet new colleagues who have joined recently.

Harriet Whalley, Planner:

Rosedew Farm was a great venue to have our annual company meet up! I particularly enjoyed the Sound Bath as part of the Yoga activity – perfect timing after the meal (wine) and disco had the night before!

Lauren Hunter, Senior Planner:

It was great to catch-up with colleagues, and meet new colleagues who have recently joined, from across the company in a relaxing environment. I enjoyed taking part in new experiences such as the Yoga Sound Bath, and in the teambuilding exercise which was a good opportunity to get to know others from across the company
