Project Description

Residential

North Street, Stilton

DPP were instructed by Caddick Land to promote the land of North Street, Stilton. DPP were instructed to assemble a consultant team to prepare technical reports to support the allocation of the site and to make representations to the Council regarding the emerging Core Strategy. In this regard DPP objected to the position of Stilton in the draft settlement hierarchy, argued that the housing requirement was insufficient but significantly DPP essentially supported a policy that allowed development of land well related to settlement where settlement boundaries were not defined which included the settlement of Stilton.

DPP, on behalf of the client, submitted responses to the Inspectors issues and questions and attended the Core Strategy examination.

This was part of a twin track approach that saw the submission of a panning application

Achievements

DPP submitted representations and promotional material to the Council regarding the position of the site in the emerging local plan and responded to the Inspectors issues and questions and attended the examination in public in relation to these matters.

Planning permission was granted on appeal before the emerging local plan issues were concluded.
