DPP were instructed by Caddick Land to prepare and submit an outline planning application for the erection of 31 dwellings on land to the rear of 68-82 North Street, Stilton.

The wider site was subject to a previous application for 90 dwellings which was recommended by officers for approval but subsequently refused by Planning Committee, due to the perceived impact of noise and air quality issues on the future residents’ amenity.

Committee members, in deliberating over the current planning application, were unable to find any material reasons to refuse permission for the proposed development and as such the application was approved subject to a Section 106 agreement.

DPP are continuing to work with Caddick Land on an appeal submitted against the refused development on the wider site, and DPP look forward to progressing development on the site through the future submission of reserved matters and discharge of condition applications.
