DPP have secured reserved matters consent for a purpose-built student accommodation scheme at Triumph Road, Nottingham following outline consent earlier this year.
Acting on behalf of Cassidy Group, DPP have achieved consent for the 5-storey, 270 bed scheme located directly adjacent to Nottingham University’s Jubilee Campus.
Designed by Maber, the consent paves the way for the next stage of the project with discharge of conditions underway and a start on site due in early 2022.
The proposal comprises 270 student bedrooms, reception, cinema, social spaces, and study spaces, with generous landscaped amenity areas facing onto the River Leen. The project is one of five student developments DPP are currently working on the city creating almost 2,000 new student beds.
Speaking about the approval, Senior Planner Will Marshall commented:
“We’re delighted to have continued our successful partnership with the Cassidy Group and achieve planning in order to progress this project to the next stages. We’re already working on the conditions applications in order to keep the momentum and look forward to a start on site in the short term. Progress such as this will certainly help to continue the ongoing regeneration of the Jubilee Campus and surrounding area and builds on DPP’s 100% success rate of securing student accomodation schemes in the city”
