We are delighted to report that DPP Assistant Planner Harriet Whalley, who recently joined our Leeds team, has won a RTPI North East Award for planning excellence.

Harriet, who is studying Planning at Newcastle University, secured the award for the most oustanding┬ápiece of academic work with a North East focus. Working with her fellow students James Hall, Olivia Price and Jacob Reed, Harriet’s┬áresearch focused on how succesful town planning could enhance the quality of life in Sunderland.

Harriet, who joins DPP for a year in industry before returning to Newcastle University to complete her degree in Town Planning, is currently applying her academic insights to a number of major public and private sector schemes across northern England.
