We are delighted to report that DPP Assistant Planner Harriet Whalley, who recently joined our Leeds team, has won a RTPI North East Award for planning excellence.
Harriet, who is studying Planning at Newcastle University, secured the award for the most oustanding piece of academic work with a North East focus. Working with her fellow students James Hall, Olivia Price and Jacob Reed, Harriet’s research focused on how succesful town planning could enhance the quality of life in Sunderland.
Harriet, who joins DPP for a year in industry before returning to Newcastle University to complete her degree in Town Planning, is currently applying her academic insights to a number of major public and private sector schemes across northern England.
