On behalf of Brentwood Borough Council, DPP have submitted a full planning application for the redevelopment of the Brentwood Centre in Brentwood, Essex.
The proposals include the redevelopment of the Brentwood Centre, which involves partial demolition, a new extension and external material alterations. The scheme also encompasses the extensive upgrading of outdoor sports facilities, including associated sports infrastructure, parking, and landscaping.
The project will deliver modern, high‑quality leisure and community facilities, significantly improving the capacity, standard and accessibility of sport and wellbeing provision in Brentwood. It will provide contemporary, sustainable buildings that secure the Centre’s long‑term future and strengthen its role as a key community hub.
The proposals have been carefully designed to incorporate strong sustainability principles, enhancing the environmental performance of existing buildings and maintaining accessible, high‑quality health and fitness facilities for residents.
They have been developed through a collaborative process involving the applicant, local authorities, and key stakeholders. This reflects a shared ambition to deliver a high-calibre development that responds positively to community needs and planning policy objectives.
