School Redevelopment

DPP have successfully secured planning permission for the redevelopment of Greenshaw Highschool in Sutton as part of the Government’s School Rebuilding Programme. The proposal includes the demolition of several blocks and the construction of two new teaching buildings to provide a more consolidated and efficient footprint. The proposed development was approved unanimously at Planning Committee.

The proposal will deliver a number of public benefits, which includes improved school facilities, as well as a Biodiversity Net Gain, 180 additional cycle parking spaces, and an increase in open space within the school grounds.

Achievements

To date, DPP have worked with the team and key stakeholders to prepare the planning documentation, before submitting and subsequently managing the planning application by engaging with numerous key consultees in order to result in a favourable decision for the Client.

Following the issuing of consent, DPP have been working closely with the school, Bowmer + Kirkland and the Local Planning Authority to ensure that conditions are discharged to allow for the delivery of the scheme
