Alice Gardner has joined the Cardiff office as a Principal Planner

Alice joins from Savills where she was a Senior Planner, prior to which she started her career with Barton Willmore.

Alice studied Geography and Planning at UWE in Bristol, followed by an MSc in Spatial Planning and Development at Cardiff University.

She’s a Chartered Member of the Royal Town Planning Institute and currently Co-Chair of Young Planners Cymru. In this role, Alice has helped create opportunities for young planners to connect through CPD sessions, professional networking, and social events, most recently an evening of Planning, Pints, and Points!

Alice has experience across a range of sectors including sports stadia and data centres. In her previous role she worked on the expansion of the SToK Racecourse Stadium for Wrexham AFC. Her new role will see her working across a range of sectors including residential, health, energy and leisure across England and Wales.

Speaking about her appointment, Alice said:

I am delighted to make the move to DPP where I am keen to continue by professional development across a range of sectors and locations. I am excited to be able to continue my role with the RTPI whilst also leading DPP’s Social Responsibility team.

Gareth Hooper, CEO at DPP added:

Our independence and planning focus is an increasingly rare offering in the marketplace, which makes us increasingly attractive to the best talent in the sector. Alice is still early in her career but already has exceptional technical technical expertise and a real drive to deliver positive outcomes for our clients. I look forward to seeing Alice continuing to develop whilst supporting our continued growth.
