DPP are pleased to announce that the Bodington Football Hub project has been shortlisted for the Best Project award at the RTPI Yorkshire Awards for Planning Excellence 2023.
Designed by DLA on behalf of the University of Leeds, the Football Foundation, the Football Association, Sport England and the Premier League, the project is a pilot of a national programme to provide a sustainable model for grassroots football.
The project, which opened in November 2022, now provides a Pavilion building including changing rooms, offices, a kitchen and a bar and social space, three All-Weather Pitches for 5 or 7 a-side football and a 204 space car park. DPP provided planning support to the project including pre-application discussions with Leeds City Council, liaison with Sport England and subsequently gaining delegated planning permission for the scheme in January 2020.
Representatives from DPP and DLA are looking forward to attending the awards ceremony on Thursday 15th June 2023 and hopeful that the project will win the award!
