DPP prepared and submitted a detailed planning application for a new Assisted Living scheme at land off Derwent Street, Belper, Derbyshire.

We facilitated a pre-application meeting with Amber Valley Borough Council to agree the principle of development, as the site is located within the Derwent Valley Mills World Heritage Site, local Conservation Area and adjacent to a number of Listed buildings. It therefore required a considered heritage assessment and design consideration.

DPP managed the preparation and submission of a full planning application following the pre-application and continued to manage of the planning application including attendance at meetings with the local authority.

We continued to manage the application until early 2020 with the application preparing to be heard at Committee in the near future.
