Alice GardnerPrincipal Planner

Principal Planner

Alice joined DPP’s Cardiff Office as a Principal Planner, bringing five years of private consultancy experience. Before joining DPP, she worked for a global real estate services provider, where she focused providing planning services for data centres, leisure schemes, sports stadia, retail, and large mixed-use developments across Wales and the rest of the UK. She began her career on a graduate scheme with a planning, regeneration, and design consultancy, where she contributed to major renewable energy projects, gaining valuable DNS experience, as well as industrial and residential developments.

Alice manages the day-to-day delivery of planning applications, including pre-application discussions, coordinating technical teams, preparing and submitting applications, overseeing public consultations, and liaising with Council officers.

Alice became an MRTPI Chartered Planner in February 2024 and currently serves as Co-Chair of Young Planners Cymru. Within this role she is responsible for providing opportunities for young planners in Wales to engage with each other through CPD, professional networking and social events, as well as working closely with RTPI Cymru. She has been part of the judging panel for RTPI Chief Planners of Tomorrow initiative, having previously taken part in the scheme herself in 2023.
