DPP secure planning permission for a fully affordable residential development in Easington Village, County Durham.

On behalf of Imperator Developments, DPP were instructed to undertake pre-application discussions with the Council, undertake public consultation, and then prepare, submit and manage a planning application for the development of 38 affordable houses in Easington Village, County Durham. The affordable units will be managed by Believe Housing.

Since the site is situated in proximity to Easington Village Conservation Area, DPP prepared a Heritage Statement which assessed the impact of the proposals on the setting of the Conservation Area. DPP also prepared a Planning Statement and Statement of Community Involvement in support of the application.

DPP liaised with the consultant team to prepare and coordinate the information required to accompany the planning application, and managed the submission through to decision which required substantial dialogue with the Council and consultant team. The application received a recommendation for approval from the LPA and was unanimously approved at planning committee
