Acting on behalf of Strata Homes, DPP have secured planning approval for the erection of 44 houses at Shirland in North East Derbyshire.
Following a comprehensive pre-application exercise overseen by DPP, the application was well received by officers, resulting in minimal concerns.
DPP coordinated the response to comments relating to design and layout of the scheme, and submitted a revised layout and additional information to support the proposals. DPP also addressed a Sport England objection through the provision of a ball-strike assessment, demonstrating that the site’s proximity to the adjacent school playing field would not adversely affect residential amenity. A request for a Biodiversity Net Gain metric was also dismissed as not being justified in policy terms.
Speaking about the consent, Director, Mark Lane said:
DPP are delighted to secure planning permission by way of delegated approval, delivering another good outcome on behalf of Strata. We look forward to working with them on further major residential projects.
