Value

Waste Transfer Station, Thirsk

DPP were involved in a scheme which successfully obtained planning permission for the construction of a new unit at an existing waste transfer station in Thirsk which was designed to handle and mechanically treat Municipal Sorted Waste (MSW) and Commercial & Industrial waste (C&I). The provision of this new unit would increase capacity and operational efficiency and improve the amenity of the locality through improved controls on potential emissions.

DPP prepared the planning statement which included a comprehensive analysis of the all planning policy regarding the provision of waste facilities and the justifications for as to why the additional facilities were required

  • “DPP provided an excellent service preparing a planning statement which was extremely thorough dealing with all the key issues whilst at the same time being clear and concise to read. They were alert to the need for a robust Statement which dealt with the highly sensitive nature of the application site and activities which would be carried out there.”
