DPP coordinated and managed the submission of details to discharge planning conditions in relation to a scheme to develop an up to 100,000tpa Solid Recovered Fuel (SRF)/ Refuse Derived Fuel (RDF) production facility at land at Nine Mile Point Industrial Estate, Cwmfelinfach, Newport. The resulting SRF/RDF bales will be wrapped and stored onsite, before being transported offsite to facilities which will use the produce to generate energy.

The purpose of the facility is to generate a valuable energy resource from waste that would otherwise be sent to landfill. In doing so the proposed development contributes towards delivering sustainable energy and waste management in the area.
