On behalf of Gentoo Group, DPP prepared and submitted a full planning application for the erection of 44 dwellings for affordable rent with associated landscape works at Avenue Vivian in Fencehouses, Sunderland. The development will enable the redevelopment of land which was formerly occupied by pre-fabricated dwellings to provide much needed affordable homes in the area.

DPP coordinated and managed the planning application process through to decision which was achieved within the statutory 13-week determination period and received unanimous approval at planning committee.

DPP managed the technical team to obtain the required documents to support the application and prepared the planning statement and open space assessment to accompany the application.

As part of the application, DPP also coordinated the public consultation process which included preparing and organising a leaflet drop to inform residents and relevant stakeholders of the proposals and to invite them to a public consultation event which was attended by DPP and Gentoo Group. DPP also prepared the consultation boards for the exhibition and following the event collated and responded to comments in a Statement of Community Involvement.
