Acting on behalf of Pomfret Management, DPP has secured outline planning permission for 110 dwellings, including a retirement complex in Towcester.
This development is located on a uniquely constrained site, sat within a Grade II* Registered Park and Garden associated with Easton Neston House and bound by a Grade I Listed wall. It also features significant commercial plantation areas and lies partially within Flood Zone 2, with direct access to the busy A5 in Towcester.
Despite these challenges, DPP and the project team successfully demonstrated that these obstacles could be overcome, and that the proposals will provide much-needed retirement living options in Towcester as well as helping address local housing demands within a highly sustainable location. The scheme will also improve access to an existing public open space, benefiting not only future residents but the wider community.
Speaking about the consent, Mark Lane, Director and project lead said:
We are delighted to have secured this consent for much needed housing and retirement living. The site constraints made delivering this site extremely challenging but working closely with the design team and local planning authority, we demonstrated that that there was a clear balance in favour of development.
