DPP Planning are proud to confirm four key promotions across its 40 strong team.
Two of the promotions are in DPP’s Cardiff office, with Nathan Slater being promoted from a Senior Planner to Principal Planner and Cêt Roberts stepping into a role as a Senior Planner, after working her way up since joining DPP’s graduate scheme in 2022.
Nathan Slater joined DPP in September 2024 from a planning consultancy in Bristol, following spent eight years as a project manager at the Vale of Glamorgan Council. Since joining the Cardiff team, Nathan has been involved in a huge variety of projects and has taken the lead on several high-profile residential projects. His technical knowledge and client-focused approach have instilled huge confidence in clients, who look to him to guide complex projects.
He has also secured several new clients for DPP since joining and supports his junior colleagues through their training modules to gain further qualifications.
Cêt Roberts promotion to Senior Planner at the Cardiff office follows a swift progression within DPP. Since joining as an Assistant Planner on its graduate scheme in 2022, she was promoted to planner within a year.
Over the past 12 months, Cêt has taken on project management responsibility for across a range of projects and sectors, working across the Cardiff, Leeds, London and Newcastle offices, and her personable nature means she has developed excellent working relationships internally and externally. Cêt has also led the Cardiff office’s social value activity as well as organising regular social activities contributing to team cohesion and staff wellbeing.
In DPP’s Leeds office, Jack Waugh has been promoted to Planner, having joined the business through its graduate programme in September 2023 following his MPlan studies at the University of Sheffield.
In the past year, Jack has successfully project managed multiple small-scale projects in the education and residential sectors, as well as assisting on larger, more complex residential schemes, hearings and certifications. His growing technical competence and professional approach have made him a valued member of the Leeds team.
At DPP’s Newcastle office, Hannah Thompson has been promoted from Senior Planner to Principal Planner. In the two years since Hannah joined DPP, when she relocated to the North East from London, she has established herself as a diligent and reliable project manager, leading complex projects across a wide range of sectors. Notably, her work on the Portland Park Cinema and Leisure Scheme in Northumberland where she worked closely with stakeholders and represented the client in planning meetings.
Hannah’s business development work is also key to DPP’s Newcastle office, where she is a Developing Consensus Pillar Group committee member and through her networking has secured new clients for the consultancy.
