We are delighted to welcome three more Assistant Planners to the company, taking the total taken on this year to seven – the most we have taken on in over a decade. DPP’s 2025 graduate recruitment round has also opened.
Anna Downey has been welcomed to DPP’s Leeds team after graduating this summer from Cardiff University with a BSc in Urban Planning and Development.
Whilst on an extended university placement, Anna worked as a planning officer with Cardiff City Council. She acted on several high-profile housing and school developments and was also part of wayfinding projects in Cardiff, which led to the redesign of pedestrian information signs and street furniture in the city centre.
Chloe Horner has joined DPP’s Cardiff team on a part time basis, allowing her to continue her studies in BSc Human Geography and Planning at Cardiff University. She recently completed a placement year within the Planning Policy department at the Vale of Glamorgan Council in south Wales.
Chloe gained the highest overall grade of the women in her university year group, and so was nominated by Cardiff University for the 2023 Women in Property Regional Student Awards, where she received a ‘Highly Commended’ award.
DPP’s Newcastle team has seen Alec Coaker join its ranks on a part-time basis, as completes his final year as an MPlan student at Newcastle University. He is also currently working towards his MRTPI accreditation.
Alec spent his university placement year at Ethical Planning, where he worked on major infrastructure projects such as the Northumberland Line.
