DPP Planning is delighted to confirm that Kayleigh Dixon has been promoted to Director.
Kayleigh joined DPP in 2012, coming on board as an Assistant Planner before progressing into Senior and Principal Planner roles. In recognition of her singular expertise within the property sector, she progressed to Associate Director in October 2020, where Kayleigh led DPP’s North West team, before being promoted to a Director in January 2025 where she will deliver projects across the North of England and beyond.
Prior to joining the business, Kayleigh was a graduate of Newcastle University with a BA and Diploma in Town Planning, before becoming an Assistant Planner at Northumberland County Council in 2010.
Kayleigh said of her new role:
I am over the moon to be taking on the mantle of Director here at DPP. I’ve been with the consultancy for much of my career and it’s incredibly rewarding to have progressed from a junior role all the way through to the senior leadership team and now taking a lead as a Director within the business. DPP has supported me both personally and professionally over the years and it demonstrates their commitment to learning and career development opportunities.
I’m looking forward to continuing our growth in the residential and commercial sectors – we have a strong pipeline of projects coming up in the North East and North West and this is a very exciting time to be helping drive forward DPP’s activity in the northern regions.
A Member of the Royal Town Planning Institute since 2014, Kayleigh has broad experience across a range of development sectors including commercial/mixed use, education, retail and residential planning. She has played a key role in a number of DPP’s largest projects in the North East and North West, which includes the Salford Central masterplan for Muse and English Cities Fund, Ralli Quays in Salford for Legal and General and most recently working on the West Hartford Business Park in Northumberland.
Gareth Hooper, CEO of DPP Planning, which also has offices in Cardiff, Leeds, Manchester and London, said of Kayleigh’s appointment:
We’re very excited to have Kayleigh helping lead our growth in the North . Nurturing talent is something we really prioritise within the business and it’s fantastic to have somebody join us in the early stages of their career and to see them grow and develop as much as Kayleigh has.
Her journey over the past twelve years is really testament to her drive and her extensive understanding of the industry, which our clients have come to value very highly. DPP has a higher proportion of female directors than any other planning firm in the UK, which is something we’re incredibly proud of and we feel very fortunate to have senior leaders of Kayleigh’s calibre making up our leadership team.
