Land North of Holme Road, Market Weighton 

Working on behalf of Persimmon and J G Hatcliffe Property and Planning, DPP were instructed to secure planning permission on a predominantly greenfield site forming part of a large housing allocation, known as ‘MW-B’ to the west of Market Weighton.

The proposed development was for 193 new dwellings with public open space and highway access.

ACHIEVEMENTS

Preparing an application, DPP were required to carefully consider how a development of the site could be achieved within the parameters of the wider ‘MW-B’ housing allocation whilst also addressing the various constraints associated with the site, which includes an existing pig farm on site.

During the course of the approved applications, DPP held detailed discussions with the Council to address a number of issues raised by consultees including housing mix and open space.
