School Redevelopment

DPP have successfully secured planning permission for the redevelopment of Chace Community School in Enfield as part of the Government’s School Rebuilding Programme. The proposal includes the demolition of several blocks and the construction of two new teaching buildings to provide a more consolidated and efficient footprint.

The proposal will deliver a number of public benefits, which includes improved school facilities, as well as a Biodiversity Net Gain and an increase in open space within the school grounds.

Achievements

DPP have worked with the team to prepare the planning documentation, before submitting and subsequently managing the planning application by engaging with numerous key consultees in order to result in a favourable decision for the Client. DPP led negotiation with key stakeholders including Sport England and design officers to overcome concerns.

DPP continue to work closely with the school, Bowmer + Kirkland and the Local Planning Authority to ensure that conditions are discharged to allow for the delivery of the scheme in line with the programmed opening within May 2027
