We have been involved in bringing forward this key regeneration site in Leeds for a number of years, originally advising West Register (Realisations) Ltd in its capacity as Receivers. DPP achieved a series of residential permissions on the site, but in a challenging economic climate in the mid to late 2000’s, it remained unviable.

Subsequently bought by Lidl, we continued to advise on the site to bring forward a comprehensive retail development, anchored by a Lidl store.

Approval was granted in 2016 for development of an anchor Lidl store and associated retail units, following protracted negotiations with the council’s urban design team, and Lidl opened the store in March 2018
