DPP have secured permission for the phased redevelopment of Upton Court Grammar School in Slough, Berkshire, on behalf of the Education Funding Authority.

The project will provide the school with new high-quality teaching and sports facilities by refurbishing the existing neo-Georgian main school block and developing new infill blocks. Replacement accommodation will consist of a large new-build block, incorporating a school hall and classrooms. A second newly constructed block will contain a double height sports hall and associated facilities. These will be available for the local community to use outside of school hours.

The safety of students that congregate on the main road before and after school was raised as a concern during consultation. In response to this key issue, the scheme will incorporate a new entrance and plaza to allow pupils to meet safely away from the highway. Other considerations included the retention of school playing fields, protection of local views, and improved parking and access.
