We are pleased to present our ideas for the Ralli Quays project, which completes an important piece of the Salford Central Masterplan.
We have been developing our design to complement the surrounding buildings and uses, whilst looking to be progressive in our approach. We believe we have an exciting and vibrant design which will enhance Salford and Manchester, bringing a new concept to the market.
Our concept is to combine an office and hotel in a contemporary way, which will support the adjacent buildings, and we hope, once complete, will be seen as a forward thinking, interesting and exciting landmark project to be proud of.
Legal & General Investment Management is one of Europe’s largest asset managers, with development and regeneration programmes throughout the UK. In addition to owning a 50% interest in Media City, L&G have provided long term investment in the New Bailey District of Salford.
The existing 1.06Ha site comprises two purpose built office blocks of circa. 80,000 sq. ft. built almost 30 yrs ago, including basement storage and car parking. The existing Ralli Quays buildings are underwhelming and redevelopment of the site will complement the scale and quality of the completed or planned new buildings.
The proposal is to demolish the existing buildings and construct a new hotel and office scheme which takes advantage f its riverside location and views across the City. The proposal will consists of:
- 19,000 sqm of office floorspace with rooftop terrace
- 260 bed hotel;
- Restaurant Bar with terrace overlooking the river and roof bar;
- Parking and servicing.
Further detail of the scheme and its design is provided on the Consultation Boards below.
