In Education, London, Permission secured

2018 has proved to be a hugely successful year for DPP’s London team as they have succeeded in delivering over 7,000 schools places in and around London. Approvals have been granted for 5,600 secondary school and 6th form places, 1,470 primary school places and 80 nursery places this year alone.  These include; 7 full planning applications, 1 listed building consent application, 3 reserved matters applications and 1 application for temporary accommodation.

Among the more notable of those is Ark Pioneer Academy located on Green Belt, Eden Park Academy located on designated Urban Open Space, and Ealing Fields High School, which involved the refurbishment of a Grade II listed building.

Speaking about their achievements this year, Associate Director Tim Spencer said;

We are very proud to be playing an important part in the delivery of new school places in and around London as well helping to replace old buildings which are no longer fit for purpose. The London team have displayed their keen aptitude in dealing with complex sites including Green Belt/MOL and sites containing Listed Buildings and securing planning permissions within statutory timeframes allowing the rapid delivery of new schools to the region.”
