In Cardiff, Education, New Project

Plans have been submitted for a 1,100 place secondary school, in Barry, Vale of Glamorgan, by DPP’s Cardiff office on behalf of Morgan Sindall and the Vale of Glamorgan Council.

Whitmore High, is the first Band B newbuild school for the county from Wales’ 21st Century Schools and Education Programme; £142.4m of which is being invested in educational infrastructure by the Vale of Glamorgan council.

Selected for our track record delivering schools throughout England, the scheme presented unusual complexities, as the team had to work alongside a simultaneous submission for an adjoining school. DPP advised on key issues for both sites, including highways and consultation with the community.
