DPP has secured planning permission for the extension and remodelling of an existing Dunelm retail store in Oldbury. The proposals, which include the part demolition of the existing unit and insertion of a mezzanine floor, will increase the size of the store by around 20% and introduce an ancillary café to serve Dunelm customers.
The planning permission was issued within the target determination period and DPP successfully negotiated with the local planning authority to ensure that no ‘pre-commencement’ conditions were attached to the planning permission. This avoided any delays to the commencement of works.
