In Consultation

Working on behalf Hallam Land Management, DPP secured unanimous approval for 202 new houses on open greenfield land outside the settlement limits at Flaxley Road Selby. The development included the conversion of listed farm buildings to residential dwellings.

DPP demonstrated that the Council didn’t have a five year housing land supply and carried out a full flood risk sequential assessment as the site is located within flood zones 2 and 3 to successfully demonstrate that there are no sequentially preferable sites.  DPP also overcame heritage concerns in relation to the listed barns.

DPP organised a consultation event where 2000 households were invited and fully briefed on the scheme, which includes open market and affordable housing. As a result of this only 3 members of the public objected to the scheme.
