Acting on behalf of Spenhill Developments, DPP has secured outline planning consent for 150 houses in Honiton, Devon.
Last year DPP secured the draft allocation of the business park site for housing in the emerging Local Plan.
DPP then successfully demonstrated that a residential consent ahead of the adoption of the Local Plan would not negatively impact on the supply of employment land and was not premature.
In granting consent, the Council accepted the employment land and housing need cases that had been put forward by DPP as well as a reduced financial contribution to take account of the viability issues associated with the Brownfield site.
