DPP has secured planning permission for four new industrial units providing a total floorspace of 7,300 sqm for Commercial Development Projects Ltd, part of the Marshall Group. Located within the wider Sowerby Bridge Copley Valley Regeneration Project this is the final major piece of the development jigsaw to put into place to support new job opportunities and investment on a site of a former sewage works.
The Regeneration Project has been led by Genr8 Developments, development partner of Calderdale MBC. DPP has acted as planning advisor to Genr8 since 2010 on the project which has now seen a series of permissions obtained for site wide remediation, new 1.5km highway river bridge crossing, 148 new homes to be built by Taylor Wimpey and the formation of a new local nature reserve alongside the new industrial units.
