Great House Farm, outside Cardiff, has been shortlisted for a RICS Wales 2015 Award in the Residential Category. The scheme, the first by LivEco and with consultancy provided by DPP Planning, lies at the very edge of the settlement boundary.
It is the first in Cardiff to achieve Code for Sustainable Homes Level Four. The homes incorporate a range of sustainability features including solar panels, rainwater harvesting and cutting edge construction techniques.
The RICS Awards showcase the most inspirational regional initiatives and developments in land, property, construction and the built environment. The awards are open to everyone working within the property profession and celebrate the talents of surveyors, property developers, engineers, planners and architects, to name just a few. This year’s Wales ceremony will take place at Cardiff City Hall.
Reflecting on the project, Alan Gillard of LivEco states:
“Working with the team from DPP is always a pleasure – there is a commitment to projects which exceeds expectations and successful outcomes are always achieved. We would recommend their services to any potential developer and look forward to working with them again”.
