In Manchester, Permission secured

DPP has secured a further permission for English Cities Fund as part of the regeneration of a Salford Central / New Bailey. A new 16-storey building for 135 apartments is set to be built on the banks of the River Irwell

As a PRS (Private Rental Scheme) development, the new building complements the 11-storey Plot A5 apartment building for 90 homes, which received consent earlier this year. The two buildings are being constructed simultaneously, with a target completion date of early 2017. There are plans for a third 21-storey building to complete the group.

DPP has acted as planning advisors to the English Cities Fund (led by Muse in partnership with the HCA and Legal & General) on the Salford Central project for the last ten years. During this time, the project has moved from masterplan inception through to the delivery of this, the 7th plot secured, within a 17 hectare regeneration site in the heart of Salford.
